    Default Broken Glove box

    howdy all,
just quickly i opened my glove box the other day and it appears the part on the far left which guides it up and down has broken.
i think its just a piece of plastic but its annoying when you have to open and close the bugger with two hands sometimes
does anyone know of a quick fix and if i replace it do i have to replace the whole glovebox assembly or is there a way i can get to the little bit of plastic i think thats broken?

    cheers in advance

Not really fixable, mine on my old VT broke on the right hand side. Tried to strengthen it, but it eventually broke again. Pretty sure a whole new glove box is the only way.

I've just acquired a VT SS with a broken glove box (falls out as soon as you open it) but I have not inspected this during the day - when I do get around to having a go at fixing (shouldn't be too far down the track) i'll post the outcome.

Welcome to the VTs and the VXs, if the glovebox isn't broken it isn't a VT/VX. Mine just randomly fell of its hinges while I was driving, man wasn't that a distraction.

If the two stoppers on the sides of the glove box aren't broken, but it's sagging, then simply the pin in one of the hinges has come out. My Monaro did this and the dealership spent 5 minutes putting it back in. If the stoppers on the sides are broken, you have two choices. Replace the box assembly, or put up with it. Fixing it is almost impossible. I tried with my earlier VT, and all I managed to do was stick my fingers together with locktite... lol
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
