im putting 2002 VX on king superlows, do i NEED! a camber kit or can i do without?
Do a search for 'VX Camber kit' man, this topic has been covered thousands of times...
Well you can use camber kits but it really depends on what wheel you are running on the back given the IRS, on mine because im still finishing off my stockies i gave the camber kit a miss but still does eat out the middle of the rubber pretty quickly. Also my foreman told me its not worth it on those wheels, i assume if you put bigger wheels on say 17-20" you will need a camber kit and im fairly sure pedders and a few other companies do them, just do some re-search on them. Good luck and show me some pictures when its all done![]()
yes mate grab a camber kit vt been irs..saves $$$$ on tread, my old 98 vt kept chewin out my 17's and 18's so i reverted back to 15inch stockies and still ate the crap out out of it, got the kit and now my treads last hell of a lot longer..
is a 2 point of 4 point better?
im thinking of getting the 4 point.
Give pedders a call they will explain it, i can't remember, i just fitted one on my VT clubby, resisted for a while, tire life is increased but its not a fix, still need to rotate
okay so i went to pedders and asked for a price on getting a 4 point camber kit put it and the guy looked at me and said what do you mean a 4 point camber kit? and i told him im putting my car on superlows and its going to need a camber kit and he said that they only do a rear toe/camber kit for commodores as they already have ajustable camber something on the front. and he said it was about $690 fitted.
is he trying to jip me or?
Some places will call it an Inner and Outter kit. But yes, just specify you want a kit to adjust your toe AND camber in the rear. $690 is a little steep I guess. I got quoted $595 retail to fit a 4point/inner & outter kit to our VU the other day here in Bathurst
the thing is pedders are commodore specialists they should know what i want haha, i mite just go to them because i need it down i cant afford to wear out my worn out tyres anymore than they already are lol.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
where else does camber kits in the penrith area? i wouldnt have a clue lol.
$395 is damn cheap. Considering a 4point kit (which is technically 2 x bush kits, least $75-$100ea) is normally $150-$200. And its about a 3hr or so job. Sure $395 wasnt JUST a camber only kit (2 point kit) as opposed to camber AND toe kit (4point)
guys, do i really need a 4 point camber kit (camber/toe adjust kit) or just a 2 point kit (camber adjust kit) ?
cheers
