    Question Reverse Lamps not working ???????

    Hi my reverse lights are not working in my vx, the indicators and blinkers still work but not the reverse ive checked the fuse box and none of the fuses are blown. could it be a relay??? if so which one?

    please help i wanna get the right part before holden shuts at 11

    tried hazard lights? do they flash? just as a test.. but im thinking its the bulbs.. VT common fault 1 blows the other.

    his indicators work... his reverse ones done.. using hazards wont help anything.

    It could be the reverse light switch, is it a manual? if it is the switch is located on the drivers side of the gear box. If you short the two wires out and the lights come on then your switch is most likely ****ed they are about 65 bucks from holden. Not to sure about auto could be the same but ive got no idea.

    yeah thats what i thought so i got a new one that day! $58 for a new one. now i just gotta install it. what a mission lol its right at the top of the gear box, and yea its a manual.

    ok i finally got around to installing the reverse light switch. but they still dont work.
    ive checked the
    fuses under the dash and under the bonnet none are blown
    the bulbs dont seem to be blown
    replaced the reverse light switch on the gear box

    what else could it be? can any one give me advice please?

    are you sure the globes are fine?

    i'd be getting a voltmeter or test light and doing some checking. need to see if power if getting a. to the fuse, b. to the switch, and c. to the globes.

    ive checked and theres no power to the globes and ever fuse i could see was fine, the globes looked unbroken but ill try replacing them and test for power at the plug for the reverse switch on the gearbox i replaced

    where is the fuse for the reverse lights.in the wireing diagram it is fuse f13 but i can not find it

    Like the bloke said above use a voltmeter or a test light and find the power source which runs to the reverse lights. Once you find out where the power cuts off/stops going to the lamps, do some fault finding until you find the problem and repair it.
