Wiring harness coming from VX power steering reservoir. What is it for?

A mate has asked me what the wiring harness is coming out of the power steering oil reservoir. I don't have a VX handy to check, and the wiring schematic doesn't show it.

Does anyone know if this exists and what it does? Is it just an oil level indicator?
It's a VX Acclaim V6.

I know the calais had variable power steering, but I didn't think it came out on Acclaim.
