    Default VT indicator switch

saeeing if anyone knows what the fault might be, sometimes when the car is staretd i use the indicators and nothing happens, the light comes on the dash and just stays on and doesnt flash and i dont think anything happens on theoutside, the only way to fix it is to stop the car and restart it, any found this problem before?

Sounds more like a problem with the flasher unit. What happens when you put the hazard lights on?

Ive had the same problem in the past ..... charged me $180 for a new blinker arm ( I have cruise control ) so executives blinker arm may be cheaper
still had problems after this was replaced
my problem was a blown globe in the front ... some thing simple

or also check your rear lights. on the loom. the little plastic lightglobe holder maybe split and shorting the globe
they heat up and crack. generally only the brake lights but indicator may do aswell.
its a good place to start looking to get a job fixed cheaply

they are easy to get to. just open the boot and unscrew the 2 phillips head screw from the rear light. be carefule not to break the plastic clips/plugs that hold it onto the rear quarter panel

    hope this helps

i think they run of a relay yeah? sometimes the relays can either get stuck open or closed, everytime the indicator flashes you can hear the relay opening and closing if you cant hear anything sometimes giving the relay a tap can free up the contacts.. i had to replace my indictator arm (with cruise control, calais) think its called a cruise control switch but im not sure anyway, it cost me about $40 for the part and i replaced it myself its quiet easy to do.. As for the cig lighter not working without being there all i can recommened is checking over all of your fuses
