Each door has an actuator which works independently of the others.

Yeah mate, sounds like the door actuator. It was happening to my vz about a month ago. You have a few options:
-get a new actuator from holden which will cost you $169 and either get them to fit it for about $200
-get a actuator from the wreckers for about $60 and put it in yourself (Fairly easy, take your door trim off and replace the actuator there is a how to here )
-take the door trim off and give the actuator a clean and spray some lube on the moving parts, this what i did, cost me nothing and its working great.

    hope this helps

ok guys, managed to have spare time to fix this problem.. but turned out it was not the actuator, it was the rod that connect from the actuator to the lock button ! once i removed the button and left the rod there, the actuator is working perfect and no matter how many time i tried to lock and unlock the driver door, it never had problem.

i realised one thing, when i tried to put the lock button onto the rod, it fairly tight!! and and that make it a little stuck there

already tried to bend the rod abit, but still not fixed the problem..

it more like,,, when i unlock the door, the button wasn't up up all the way, just got stuck there abit , sometime the door can be opened but it felt it stuck thru the outside door handle

what can i do to fix it? any help?

    Cheers
