will a VN fuel pump fit in a VT?

hi all, got a mate who says he has a VN fuel pump that i could have but also said that it wouldnt fit in the VT but the actual fuel pump internals would swap straight over to the VT fuel pump?? mine has apprently chucked it in and needs to be replaced asap!!! if the VN pump can be swapped over to the VT pump is it a straight swap over or a stuff around? i dont wanna have to pull it back out if it hasnt been done before?

its just for a quick fix as i need my car for work and will get a new fuel pump soon..

pumps are different vn has one pick up and the vt has two pick ups . changed one out today , changed heaps of vn ones while working for holden

no worries, thanks for clearing that up. i'll just have to source a 2nd working fuel pump from a VT.
