hi all i have posted before about my car cranking over and over without firing up - after giving the fuel tank a couple of taps on the fuel filler side underneath with my fist i eventually got ym car to start as normal again....im thinking could the fuel pump have a connection problem? loose wiring or loose connection?? or is the fuel pump on its way out?
ive been driving the car around and it happend again after pulling up to a corner store, turned the car off when i got back in - i started it then the car just died!! as though it ran outta fuel or something, then i couldnt start it again as it was cranking over again. so out i got and gave the tank a couple of taps and it started up fine...
thoughts?
If you have to wack the pump - its probably almost dead. Time to replace it I'd say.

check wiring at the plug the solder brakes sumtimes
if you replace the pump, replace the whole fuel pump module, and the adaptor plug that goes from the module to the body harness. its pretty common for the pins to burn out.
