Vacumm lines

i recently had to replace my heater core.. after replacing everything i cant seem to seal ther vacumm lines and my heater only blows on the windscreen.

is there any trick to sealing the lines at the back of the heater control panel?

make sure it isn't leaking from the mode actuator under the dash. common problem.
