Hi guys, im looking at getting these rims..
Would they be alright to put on my silver VT Calais, i want to get it lowered on them but im not sure if they will hit the guards or whatever they tend to do.
They are 20" BSA Motorsport Chrome rims (with centre caps and wheel nuts)
They have Kumho tyres 225-35ZR20
Thanks,

'super low' king springs will sit nice on 20's![]()
hey there, have a look at the ride hieght on mine. I have 20" super sports and SSL king springs in the back and SL on the front. Sits nice and level. Would not go SSL at the front as they will scrub out. There is a little scrubbing on the front when on a hardish lock. has about a 5 camber on the back and you can't adjust the camber unless you roll the guards. nice rims, and they will look good.
nah, the hieght means speed humps are no probs, and can even pull into most carparks and not lip the curb in front, although it is usually just mm's to spare. Speed humps you can hit straight on, and also those dreaded internal carparks can be hit straight on. The wheel size adjusts for the lowness. :-) Did have issues with the CV joints though, had to replace them at about 160,000km's, and had the mods done at 100,000km's.
Sweet thats great!
Looks like i'll go ahead with this, just trying to find a place in perth (osbourne park) that will lower it for me
So I dont need to get a camber kit or something do I...?
EDIT:
ALRIGHT!! I have called a few places and so far ive got a quote for $580 to do SL on the front and SSL on the back with alignment. With one place chargine $660.
Is $580 a good price?
Thanks

It is a good Price. If you want a camber kit, you would need to roll he guards. Will cost some $$$. Depending how hard you drive the car, I get about 45,000 from a set of rear tires before they start to scrub on the inside. but then you can just rotate and all will be fine.
Rotate the back to the front?
as long as the back tyres aren't going to get completely raped in the insides im all good![]()

What I do (as mine are directional) as they begin to scrub on the inside, have the rear tyres switched on the rims (you can rotate them if they are directional) , then after that side starts to scrubs, put the front wheels on the back, and get new ones for the front. But like I said I have done 20,000 on this set, and have not made any changes yet.
should have read "CAN'T rotate if they are directional"
where'd you get the quote for $580?
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
not sure if I'm allowed to say so I'll PM you.

yeah it handles bumps and driveways good... my mate has SSSL's it scraps terribly... i got mine done for $600![]()
will sit good on sl king's ,
Alright, tried those rims on and the centre holes in them dont fit, they are a tad smaller than the bit that sticks out in the middle of the screw pin things (dont know proper names ahah)
So yeah im trying to find other 20's now.

225's should fit easily without any scrubbing 245 with ssl is when they start to hit the guards
