    Default Sucking noise on acceleration

Recently car has started making a sucking air noise when I accelerate. What could be possible causes of this? My mates say I am imagining it - I know I can hear it, I know my car.

Did you replace it with a pod filter or do you have the same stock intake?

Pod filter: They make a sucking noise which some people find 'cool'
Same intake: Your old intake was probably full of dirt and now that you have a brand new one its probably increased the air flow through alot more.

Also just check to see you have sealed the air intake box properly.. make sure you havent forgot to clip it in etc if its the stock intake still..

With a standard replacement? or something like a POD? either way you are getting more air in, which is the sucking noise. I had a POD on a turbo car and that was a loud sucking noise, sounded like a vacuum cleaner, lol.

EDIT: took me 5 mins to write that, MattyC beat me to it

POD filters are useless unless u have a heat shield be carefull when fitting cheap crap with no shield the only suck up hot air causing more harm then good i thought the sound was cool to but i notice a decrese in power then i opted for a GROWLER kit for my vt S pack and it was well worth it a bit expensive but awsome sound and better performance. i got my kit for $480 look around i found them cheaper after i bought mine lol go figure
