Default best headlight upgrade besides H.I.D? phillips xenon globes?

shoppin around for new headlight globes, i like the idea of h.i.d's but not sure on them as yet. ive been looking at phillips automotive lights, what do you's think of the xenon globes? if they're cheaper than h.i.d kits id probly take em. im curious about the phillips "Ultinon" range...anyopne have these or seen em in action?

what other headlight upgrades are there? brands? light output? my current lights are crap low beam you can barely see 15m and highbeam is dull and very blue....i need new and better headlights!!

    any suggestions?

I have a couple of osram xenon style replacement globes in mine, Bright White with a touch of blue, and with the high beams they are awesome, can see forever, low beams aren't so good though.

Your headlight lenses aren't foggy or anything are they? I polished my GF's headlight lenses and now you can see again.

Go the projector style headlights they beat the original headlights on output easy. Then u can do the cheap high beam globe mod into ur low beam socket and get the extra 10W that makes a huge difference ud b supprised.

i have changed my original HSV chisel point to the series ii black background with projector lens, i also did a full HID conversion, low beams high beams, fog lights and led parkers, looks awesome and lights are so sosooo good at night i have the low beam adjusted right down and high beams are better than the light force on our truck! i started out and just bought the low beams $200 so i thought i would go a bit cheaper with high beams $100 from jap land, and last i did the foggies on the el cheapo coz i dont use them much $35, so far i have had to replace one ballast on the fog lights $35 a globe on the high beams $20 and a ballast on the high beams $45, and the other fog light i didnt do flickers sometimes so its probly on the way out. my advice, if your going hid buy from aus and spend the extra money! as far as looks and brightness at night, its unbeatable.

Yeah, you can get them in VT and VX Calais/HSV style too.

I used the more expensive Phillips globes for a short while, but i found them to be not as bright, and didnt seem to last as long as the cheaper Navara lights.
HID's are all win, if you can afford to set it up it's well worth it.

I got some Philips Blue Vision globes and love them. They are about $40 something dollars on eBay and genuine.

+1 for the Phillips +80, even the +50 are good... what's more both are legal and ADR compliant, and roadworthy, whereas doing a HID conversion on a car that didn't come with them can be deemed non-roadworthy. Hello canary!

The Phillips globes wont UV rot your lenses, or melt the housing either.
