    Default replacing globes in ac/fan cluster on dash

    imsorry if this has been posted before, but ive searched and could not find it. i suspect i need to replace the globe in the fan/ac cluster as i have no lights behind anymore. the light in my gear shifter had gone out but i gave that a tap and it cam back on, but now the fan cluster is not working. how can i fix this. thanks. Jason

    to get to the globes you have to remove the panel around the gear stick, there are 2 screws in that pocket thing under the headunit then the centre panel should lift up. next you have to remove the upper panel which is around the gauges and everything, there are 2 screws above the gauge cluster then you have to drop the fuse panel under the steering wheel and you should see some more screws holding that upper panel. once all those screws are out you can pull on that panel and disconnect the headlight plug and trip computer controller and the whole panel should be come free. next there are 3 screws holding in the ac panel thing, just remove them and disconnect everything from the back of that (just pull the vacuum hoses off and you have to disconnect the metal rod going to the hot/cold knob) once the ac panel is out you have to remove the back panel thing which is just held on by 6 clips i think. Next you will see the globe holders all you need is a small flatblade screwdriver and the holders will come out.

    hope that helps, you should be able to find the special globes at either a decent cap parts shop or you could get them straight from holden

    I was looking at it the other day

    I have a job ahead of me to replace the same globes you are aswell
    also to find a vacuum leak in the dash.
