Hi guys,
i'm getting my VT sedan lowered and need to get camber kit sorted as the same time.. so, according to Nolathane website.. they are 4 different types you can buy...
- IRS - toe adjust kit (46138HD) Single bolt - large offset suits inner pivot only use with 46138X for Camber & Toe adj
- IRS - camber adjust kit (46138X) Single bolt camber adj, extra large offset outer pivot only use with 46138HD
- IRS - toe adjust kit (46138A) 2 bolt design fit to inner pivot only
IRS - camber/toe adjust kit (46138A) 2 bolt design fit to both inner and outer pivots (needs 2 set of this)
so, what kit do i need? gonna have SSL kings at the rear
Thanks in advance

anyone ???
Depending on what rims you are running. I have 20" and have mine lowered on SSL's. I can't use a camber kit as it will drive the tyres into the guard. If i correct the camber, I would need to roll the guards. Food for thought.
why wouldent you get the ppl who are lowering your car to order them
i personaly would use the third down on the inner pivots and use pedders rubber outer kits
because, i'm going to do it myself and going to order it from one of the auto shop
cheers
well have fun buy the bottom ones then
get 2x the bottom ones, you have 4 pivot points on your IRS. 2 inner and 2 outer. if you purchase 1 kit (2 pivot points) you will either get camber OR toe, depending where you place it. by purchasing 2 of the kits, you can get both camber AND toe giving you the the most adjustment on general camber/toe issues. now if you have massive camber, your best to get 1 of each of the top 2 kits. this will give you the maximum possible amount of adjustment.
hope that makes sense.
ahh mate using two of the top ones will if that low to need them will #### the the drive shafts and diff seals
there is a reason why i said to use soild outer camber kits and adjustable inners due to the outer is the camber pivot so you just set it to max with the unjustable outer and the put the adjustable on the inner if you dont get under 1deg then dont worry at least it wont #### any thing
bottom ones, camber and toe, in and out up and down. you will need it to get the wheels as correct as possible. book a wheel allignment for the day after or soon after you do it so they can get the wheels spot on.
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
i install them for a living i would only use super pro in one or two spots in my car and install nolathane so you would expect me to say nolathane all the way the superpro would be used in the front of the car so stay with nolathane in the back
well there is a special tool but is not needed unless doing the soild rubber outers but most mechanics have trouble doing camber kits
yes go the two ones stated you can drill holes in the bushes the hit them out but it still takes ages to do
i can lower a ve in 40mins but these still take me 1 & 1/2 hours to 2 to do a bloke who i used to work with could do the ve in 29 mins but the irs kits took him like 45mins and he holds the record for lowering a ve he can also do a vz in sixteen mins so how long dose it take you to lower a car triple that to do the camber kits
Gee! .. sound too hard to me already, lol
where do you work? i might take mine there, i need someone who know what they doing and had experience
how much you guys charged if i bring the kits?
Cheers
As an example, I do the Super Pro 4 point kits for $175 posted.
well im a bit far away
are you a mechanic not_an_abba_fan
No, I'm a wholesaler. And I said posted not fitted...lol
I recently fitted super pro kit to my rear end.
I put in both the inner and outer bushs. Each arm has one inner and one uter bush, so 4 in total.
If you are doing it yourself, its a pretty hard job. You have to cut the outer bush bolt out, then trying to get the OEM bushs out is a nightmare. I ended up using an oxy welder to just melt them out.
Then once you do have the new bushs in, trying to line them up with the brackets on the car body is bloody hard by yourself.
I would give yourself at least a day each side, taking it slow. The higher you can jack your car, the better as it gives you room to move around under the car.
VX SS - Twin 2.5 cat back - MAFLESS Tune - MCAI
Shit, by the sound of it.. i won't do it myself to..
can anyone recommend me a good susp shop around central coast areas or syd areas?
Cheers
