steering wheel audio controls, new stereo

sorry if there is already a thread like this but i was just wonding if i replace the headunit in my series 2 VX s-pack will the steering wheel audio controls still work?

Clarion units still have a built in feature and still use the controls. I am not sure about others, search around for some more details, but I know clarion do for sure.

you can get it working with pioneer headunits relatively cheap. The new headunits have a wired remote input, so all u gotta do is open up ur steering wheel controls, and swap out the resistors with the correct values.
