i hear when you get oil mixing with your coolant you have a blown head gasket......sorry no info on "the valley" just my two cents

if your car is a v6 the inlet manifold bolts on to the "valley" so if the valley gaskets need changing you remove your manifold ,change gaskets then re bolt your manifold back on .........allow a few hours to actually do the job !

The valley is the part between either cylinder head, its called a valley because its shaped like one with the intake manifold removed.

well the valley is actually the space between the cylinder banks on all v engines it is where the lifters sit in there bosses and the cam and gallery sit under the valley in the v6 the balence shaft runs over the valley and under the manifold the valley also cathches oil and drains it back over the cam which then falls down the timming cover at the front of the engine to end up in the sump
