ME AND LITTLE HEATON M90 DONT ALLWAYS SEE EYE TO EYE
I just bought my first car recently too mate, you need a to get a pink slip from him. or get it inspected yourself, because if theres something wrong with it and 16,000 is pretty much all your cash, it will be a waste. I got my VX equip series II for 9800 it was a holden by design body kit. HSV 17" rims and FE2 lowered suspension. it has 80,000 kms. i think that it was a perfect buy for me and now he sits out on the roadlooken sxc, in my honest opionion. shop around you could get a lot better/cheaper with low km's if you just research more. like car sales or trading post gum tree all those sites are good too look at, ill do you some of the hard work and find a good one for you to have a look at.
2000 HOLDEN COMMODORE SV6 Cars For Sale in New South Wales - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au
Have a look at that if you havent bought it already.
A VZ SV6 is a pretty different car to the one he's posted up that he's looking at though Showoff.
To the OP, I wouldnt pay 16K for a VX. Supercharged and 15k worth of extras or not. For 16K i'd be looking at a nice VY SS or something. Its up to you though as 135xxxkms is pretty good and it does look nice and obviously is putting down some decent power. Did the guy who owns it now do all the mods to it himself? And how long has he owned it for and how long ago were the mods done? You got to realise to that while 135xxxkms isnt to bad, if it has spent most of its life in its done up state, there is prob a pretty high chance a fair few of those kms were pretty hard driving. Most people dont own a car like that to just cruise the main street slowly in. So get it fully checked over by someone in the know before you purchase it
Whenever anyone spends a heap of dough modifying a car, it's very rare to recover that money when you sell. I personally wouldn't part with $16k for a VX "S", supercharged or not. Have a look at the "for sale" sites on the net and do some homework before you part with your cash
16k is heaps its basically a 6k car with mods its up to you if you think its worth it though
Yeah I think 6k is a bit optimistic.
id say 12 if its in good nick
VT S PACK
i wouldnt pay 16 for it like dunky said just because u spend 15 grand on it dose not add 15 grand to the value
I would not buy a modified car, to me a car like that suggests 'Thrashed' every one to their own tastes, but if I was in the market for a VX S I would prefer a nice original low km car with service books, then tastefully modify to your liking. You would probably pick up a nice original VX S for a lot less than what he is asking.
Yeah you are right they are different, its just giving the OP an idea, of whats on the market nowadays, like theres plenty of really nice holdens out there with under 100,000kms on them for under 15k, and like someone else said. its often better to buy your own stock car for a decent amount of money and low kms and do it up yourself. but thats just my opinion,
for a vx II its pretty good, although i agree with everyone, 16,000 is steep. you can get a 5.7L with quite alot of cash left over instead. i dont recommend buying this car, and as said above, you never get anywhere what you put into a car back, usually less than half![]()
