HI, I have had my VT V6 sitting around on a slight incline for about 6 months and used it only a few times. I started it the other day and it ran smoothly for about 1 minute then started running rough. Any ideas as to what it might be? I have a thought that maybe it sucked up some sediment from the fuel tank while parked on the incline and has clogged up the injectors.
any thoughts would be much appreciated.
if the vehicles been sitting for awhile what will have happened is it ran good for awhile because it still had good fuel in the system,as it ran the shite fuel started coming through. before starting it would have been better to put in on a level surface & top the fuel up tank up a bit(ideally its best to drain the tank & start from fresh before restarting) you next step would be just a service, clean injectors, blow out fuel lines, clean up the spark plugs etc. then refill with fuel(or drain then refill as suggested) then try again. all should be sweet after that providing the car ran good to begin with.![]()
