Default VT LS1 Auto powerdyne supercharger fitting slight problem

I have posted this elsewhere but thought i would throw it in here.
Have just managed to find a very cheap powerdyne supercharger at a price that i would have been mad to pass up. I intend to fit it to my basically stock ls1(has the usual mods, exhaust, extractors hsv air pipe & air box etc) Now i am understanding that as the vehicles maf will have to be removed it will need a mafless tune, run a 6psi pulley(has one on it at the moment but not sure if its correct) & you should be ok on a basic modded ls1. But the small problem(well to me anyway) is that the supercharger was originally fitted to a Vt V6 so the outlet pipe goes in the wrong direction(towards the firewall & not towards the radiator) & obviously the brackets etc will be needed. I have found that you can buy the brackets from various places as well as pulleys, belts etc but what i need is a replacement outlet housing(housing where the pipes connect up to the throttle body) to suit an LS1. Are these able to purchased anywhere?? They seem to be just a bolt on fitting & seem reasonably simple to swap over, well i hope so anyway. If anyone knows of where i can get this housing or even purchase a completely stuffed one cheap to use the housing off it would be appreciated. All thoughts opinions are appreciated. I have thought of just using whats there & running a longer pipe work but it seems simpler to change the housing.hmmm:

Just had a wee thought, rather than muck around changing housings etc,is there a possibilty it would be easier just to get an intercooler & run it through that??? any thoughts on this possibilty to resolve the problem?

CAPA.com.au sell all this stuff, you may want to check i would think the V6 unit would be different than the LS1, best to call them.

I did speak to a performance shop about fitting a powerdyne and he said don't waste your money, he said the outlet air temps were so hot etc its not the best for the engine.

I am still waiting for capa to get back to me re-parts availabilty of bits, which is why i threw it on it as well to see what turns up.The only difference that i can notice when i compared one thats for an LS1 & a V6 was the outlet housing going in the wrong direction. Obviously brackets etc are different between a V6 & an LS1,but thats it.The supercharger itself is the same, they wouldnt make one for every different engine type as this would be to costly. The only thing altered between different engine applications was the outlet housings from the research i have done.
As for a performance shop saying dont waste your money,i think if you went to 20 different shops they would all have an opinion or say something different to the rest of the shops. Also i dont think a large company like CAPA would bother selling powerdyne LS1 kits if they were no good, they would have done extensive testing etc before bothering to make up a kit or sell them.
Outlet air temps usually increase because people place a pod filter next to a hot engine & in a hot enviroment, this is why some superchargers fitted to a car have the outlet going into the bumper area so they get fresh cool air

Did you call or email CAPA?

If you emailed them, they are very slow to respond.

Inlet temps is one thing but when you compress air it actually gets hot.

Let us know how you get on. I understand everyone will tell you something else so i guess its upto yourself.

I emailed capa,it seemed easier to write everything down so i didnt forget anything etc.

Yes,i will agree that inlet temps increase a bit, this is where the intercooler comes into it. this decreases the temp of air entering your engine
