Recently has all 4 rear CV joints replaced at 225.000 KLM on my VX2 Equipe.
There is still some clicking noise when I go around a left hand corner.
I have a nasty feeling that these CV units may have been taken out and repacked with grease and put back in !
Does anyone have expertise / comments on this possability.
Is this a practice in the CV industry or have I been unlucky and got one defective ( new) unit
Cheers
Peter
who did the repair for you?
Surely the bill will show part numbers that you could cross reference with the 'new' cv joints on the car.
If they are new and its stil clunking, it could be your rear cross member bushs are rooted.

Thanks for the feedback.
I will check what you suggest.
The receipts show that all 4 CV's were replaced.
I will jack up the car tomorrow and have a good look under there before I take it back to the crowd that did the CV's.
Pity about these rear end probems, this has been the best Holden I have owned.
Looks like it may be a diff bearing. Had it up on a hoist back at the crowd that fitted the new CV shafts. Will give a long overdue oil change and see if the situation improves.
