No Spark! - VT 5L

Ok so on sunday as I was moving my VT SS into the garage, gave it a little rev to just nose it forward that last bit, then the revs died and stalled (has never happened before) then just wouldnt start again! Still winds over fine just wouldnt fire. Sparkplugs seemed fine. Checked yesterday and I am getting no spark from the coil. So fuguired my coil had gone. Got a new coil pack today, connected it up... And still no spark coming from it. Anyone else had the same thing happen? Any suggestions where to look next?

i would say ignition module as they are pretty common, if you know someone with another 5ltr just do a quick swap to make sure

Yeah I was just searching through some old similar threads and was thinking the ignition module will be the next port of call. Dont know anyone else with a 5L though so will price a module tomorrow and might just have to take a gamble (like I already have with the coil :/ Anyone want a brand new 5L coil?? :P lol)

Those prices arnt to bad. Better then $500 anyways. lol. I shall do more investigating tomorrow to make sure the module is what I need. If I have power to the coil and the coil is sending out no spark whatsoever, would that indicate its the module?

Borrowed an ignition module of a sparky mate today, see if it starts my car when I take it home. If it does I know I need a module *sarcastic yay* lol. $195 for an exchange module from Repco. Or $135 for an exchange one on ebay with a 2 year warranty. Hmmm. First things first though, will see how it goes tonight. *fingers crossed*

Started first hit. Ignition Module it was. What a bastard of a place to get to to!! Had to pull my whole airbox out just to get to it!!
