I got told that after 180,000 on VT and VX's that you need to replace the engine mounts.
Has anyone had to do this or no that this is a fact?
Cheers.
my vt has 120,000 and had to change them a couple of weeks ago (and trans) check to see weather the rear of the sump is hitting or really close
1-2 mm the engine will move that far and hit the k frame
makes for a smooth drive and gear changes
awk, thanks.
How much does something like that cost to fix at the mechanic?

Next mods: Lowering, 4 Channel Amp and eventually 19's
not too sure mate, but im assuming that it would be a suprise for most people lol. You have to think its a full day job, you have to hoist the motor up and everything so yeah. labour will probably be most of it.
cost me $90 for the two engine mounts less the blood sweat and tears
doesnt seem too bad.
was just labour $170 for the two hydrolic engine mounts they are smoother than the rubber 1s
the trans easy as
awk so the hydrolic mounts are the ones to go?
yeh holden use hydrolic
the aftermarket rubber ones are harder and cheaper
awwwwk. cool.
