Question How much $$$ Has been put into this SS look-a-like?

    Hey guys and girls

How much money has been put into this VX II Lumina?

    Its got:
    1. VY SS 18" RIMS
    2. 2.5" Exhaust
    3. SS Body kit and spoiler
    4. After market Head unit
    5. Tinted windows
    6. Monaro tail lights

    It's silver and really clean...

Looking at buying it this weekend, hopefully its in good mechanical condition.

    Cheers

just remember though, doesnt matter how much money has been put into it, its still only worth as much as the next vx around the corner, so dont be fooled into paying extra

Agreed. The extra 3 grand spent on the car doesn't make it worth 3 grand more. Most vehicles depreciate over time and modifications are worth essentially nothing. If it looks like a dud buy, go find a stock one in better condition.

Good luck with it either way

Yeah it pretty much is just like any other VX S, just with some nice rims and exhaust (which are pm all of them here on JC). Thanks for the advice, i'll take it into account. I'll only buy it if the engine and transmission etc etc are in good condition.

It is a bit better than I dont have to do anything more to it though, it's already how i wanted it to be.

    See u round

They're asking $9500, im willing to spend $8000.

If that is still to much, then I dont know where to look for cars. (Im on Red P's and cant drive V8's or charged cars)

My VX has > 88,000km on the clock, is immaculate throughout, drives like a brand new car, still even a hint of new car smell, lowered on King Springs, VZ SS 18's with good tyres, dark tint, electric windows, custom free-flowing exhaust with chrome tip. Last owners were elderly and bought it brand new and drove it on a 200km round country trip once a week and I have receipts for regular self-servicing every 5,000km since I've had it. I'd probably only ask for $9,500 if I wasn't fussed about it taking months to sell..... I could probably get it based on the k's and condition of the car but it wouldn't be something where the phone would be off the hook, that's for sure. Also take into account that cars are worth a bit more here in Perth than they are over east..

$9,500? HAHAHAHA. So not worth it, unless it is BETTER than factory... Like a few of the other guys have said, for 2 more grand you could get yourself a LS1.... Save your cash, buy a nice clean VS v6 calais, save your pennies, and when you are on your fulls, get a LS1. Wish I had done the same...

oh well if your on your p's & its a 6 your looking at thats probably a bit to much. at the end of the day its what you want & what your prepared to pay,but try for a low km vehicle thats a good start to do a few tastefull mods to yourself. you will have more fun & greater satisfaction adding your own personal touches to your new ride. still,i also have a real nice low km vt v6 up for sale on here as well, hehe

No dramas dude, clink the link below. its less than you wanta spend but like i said with the extra money you can easily get the bits you need.
you could drive it for 6 months before you have to register in your state. to me its a bargain deal & i have even dropped the price. the valuation of the car is alot higher than i am asking. this is a sweet as car,i dont sell what i wouldnt be happy o buy myself. just pm me if you wanta know more & have a yarn about it

and depending on what state the vehicle is registered in a vehicle with hail damage is classed as a reparable write off. on top of that the cost of pdr is expensive unless your happy to drive round in a car thats looks like its been used as a golf ball practise target

Honest price would be about the same as has already been stated. with 250000kms on the clock, with the mods already listed, probably around 3 grand maybe a little more, but not much more & this aint because i offered to sell you my car, lol. its a genuine serious appraisal.
