20x8.5 on vt commodore

hey guys

im looking to get some 20x8.5 rims with 225/35/20 tyres

will these fit on my vt sedan at stock height, im thinking there may be a problem with the strut/spring

yeah should be no probs there with stock height

probably illegal by RTA standards though. i think the max width you can have is 8.0


could be wrong though.

tried putting them on the car, they seem to be stopped by the front suspension strut/spring

rears are fine, but is there anything i can do about the front,they wont go on because of this

the offset is et15/45 size 20x8.5" and tyre is 225/35/20

any ideas?

i have 20x8.5 with 223/35/20 tyres on my vt calais i have no problems at all and my car has been lowered

You've got 225's on 8.5's? Tyre stretch ftmfl!

probably shouldnt of put 225s on 8.5s but the rims i wanted only came in 8.5 so i didnt really care.Plus i get tyres for next to nothing so i dont mind if i go through a few. only thing to remember is to keep tyre pressure nice and high around 40psi
