VT Central Locking Problems

I Have a 97 VT commodore. Having issues with the left hand back door. A few months ago I noticed that the door would sometime not lock when I used the remote and then it stopped unlocking and locking with the remote all together and had to be manually locked and unlocked.

So I brought a new actuator and replaced it today and still wont work. very frustrating.

Does anyone know what else the problem could be?

Check the wiring run it back through the door and see if its no good somewhere along the line could be water damaged that can cause a problem to go from little to big to broken as the damage gets worst
