Google is your friend. Off the ELF website, "Advanced fully synthetic engine oil with special protective additives for ultimate level of engine protection. Recommended for all petrol engines (multi-valve and turbo types, with or without catalytic converters) and all diesel engines, turbo-charged or naturally aspirated in cars and light vans. API SM/CF (API service symbol) ACEA A3/B3 API SM / CF ACEA A3 / B3. Meets or exceeds GM Commodore requirements so yes it is suitable for your 3.8l VT V6...Does he have any spare?

I had an RX4 a few years ago. had 32.000 miles on it and went like a scared cat. My only problem with it was that I used to like Redex upper cylinder fluid in my petrol so I put some in forgetting that the rotaries have oil injection for the seals on the rotors. Ha! My street disappeared in a cloud of white smoke when I started the motor. What do you do with 40 litres of petrol with Redex in it? I donated it to a friend with a normal six cylinder car.
