Quick Question - VX Dash

Hey quick question, there is this thing on my dash and I'm pretty sure it's on all VX dash's.. It looks like a mic or something like that can anyone tell me what it is? It's not in the car manual.

Isnt it the speaker for your warning alarms? (overheat, handbrake on etc)

Its 4 the climate control units, urs is standard so there wont b anything behind it.
