OK best way to describe the problem would be a very very rough idle to the point it feels like its going to conk out when i put my foot down it constantly surges and has next to no power
if there is not enough info just ask question
just did a lil research could it be the fuel pump or someone suggested the head might be gone any suggestion on signs to look for??? i don't know much about car so i don't want to be taken for a ride with the mechanics
i had a similar problem with my vt. i dont really no much bout cars either but lucky i have mates that do.
after heaps of head aches n stuffing around. found out it was that the value springs wasnt lifting enough.
it mite not be the same prob but just thought id share.
cheers ct
does the engine die at all, had a mate who had a similar problem and he ended up having his injectors and throttle body cleaned out cause they were just black and clogged up runs way better now (then again it was a Hyundai Tuscon!)

I would start with basic things like changing spark plugs and leads. It could also be a faulty coil or injector.
it died on me on Friday arvo stopped started again bout 3 times then died for about an hour oil was on just add line so i added more oil and the tube to the throttle body fell off so i reconnected that she started fine and i drove her home got home one of the tubes connected to the throttle body that goes under the plenum was out so i reconnected that and she was running fine till today when i put my foot down to go past a car and she just started shuttering really bad and had about half power on the throttle and also had a really deep (more the usual sound) out of the exhaust
and also my raditor dropped all the water out of it but is now holding water so i got no idea what is going on
ok taking it on on thursday to see what the proble is
sounds like a fault in the ignition system. Coil, leads or plugs. Check the simple things first as a faulty coil or lead can cause the symptoms you describe. I've seen the exact same thing happen to a car and turned out to be a hairline crack in a distributor cap that was barely visible to the eye.
ok cleaned the inside of my spark plug lead on both ends with wd40 and she is running a hell of alot better still booked in to the mechanics on saturday for a service and the good old once over just to make sure there is no underlying problem
