VX SS *** 5.7LT *** CHEV *** 6 SPEED *** LS1 - eBay, Passenger Vehicles, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 14-Sep-10 13:01:34 AEST)
You're mad. That car looks tidy as you'd have been better selling it privately and waiting the extra few weeks/months to sell it and get top dollar. It's already up to $5900 with 5 days to go so hopefully you might get something close to what you deserve for this car. I'd definitely be bidding on it at that price if it was in my state.
VX2 Executive Sedan - 3.8L Auto (for now)VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)
relist for 10 days with $12000 reserve. others are asking up to $16000 and the yards want $18000 for similar. Although my brother only paid $16000 for his VY 5.7l SS ute
LOLIF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY DO NOT BID I WILL NOT WAIT FOR FIANCE TO GO THROUGH
Is she good looking?
mate your insane throwing that gem on ebay
Private sale it or at least put a reserve of around $12,000 on it. This world is full of tight-asses and you wont be makign the money you want form selling a car on ebay with no reserve![]()
Ebay rules= something crap with almost no description sells for a lot
something good with a proper description gets F All
PULL IT OFF!!! I think enough people have told you. A Car is worth what someone is willing to pay! And when you have a perfect example such as yours people will pay. I think the $13,000 IBLOWN suggested is a good fair price. Its Immaculate
thanks guys, anyone have any sugguestions of a good website to list it on, i would be happy as larry to get $13000 for it but as said people can be tight lol
2nd Carsales

I would be getting it off Ebay quick smart, or put a decent reserve on it, other wise some one will get a bargain and you will lose out big time.
One thing that might affect a private sale is that the km are quite high, might make it a bit harder to move for top dollar.

Yeah put a reserve on it mate and list it on carsales. It does have over 200,000km on it which will turn some people off but would be a shame to see it go for TOO cheap on ebay.
im checking out carsales now and i know it has alot of kms on it but your motor is only as good as you treat it and she is always serviced and goes like a dream
i had two offers on the car for $8000 lol one of them told me it was only worth $8000
Couldnt agree more mate, all I meant was it does turn some people off straight off the bat. I know when I was looking for my VT I automatically set my searches on carsales etc to <200 and didnt even look at anything over.
And its worth more then 8!! LOL. Send him a reply saying its a VX, not a VT. LOL
All I can say is check your local papers for what they are worth in your area.
I have a VX/LS1/A4 + TracControl /Cruise/Climate/ABS/Holden by Design-/Leather steering wheel/rear wing/X series mags/premium sound system/+OTRCAI/Mafless Tune/Extractors+Cat+Exhaust, 122K km, perfect body/paint, blah blah blah, worth = $10K or $13K with mods as far as insurance numbers

It's been said but I'll say it again....
Get that ultra clean vx ss off egay right now! Way, way to good to be selling on there with no reserve.
8 grand, lmao. Maybe for one thats smashed up, dented all over, shit paint, stockies, executive interior and 300+kms...
Insurance value has nothing to do with private sale value. My VT would be worth like $5k insurance value, yet I could still sell it tomorrow for $8-9. On the other end of the scale, a few years ago I bought a BA Falcon. Insurance value was $28k. I only paid $24k for it, from a dealer! lol
Not meaning to burst your bubble or anything but i think people are over valuing vx ss's! Yes it is clean but fairly high k's and they are definately getting older.
Could be wrong but dont jack the price up too high like some are suggesting.
Redbook for 01 5.7 VX SS Manual 4 door:
* Private Price Guide $9,800 - $11,900
* Trade In Price Guide $6,700 - $8,800
* Average Km 140,000 - 230,000
Price Guide $46,670* Price Guide
you can get bone stock auto vxss's for around 9500 with around 200000 k's but id be aiming for at least 11 for your one
I have a VX SS in SA for sale 156000kms if you want it. Can't post it in the for sale part yet as I need more posts. Unfortunately i've found that while trying to sell the VX they arnt worth that much. Locally made, mass produced car thats 10 years old.
Also +1 for carsales, I had an old VS on there for 2 days before it sold a few years back.
I just sold my VX Calaisay. 99¢ start bid, no reserve and I got $6k for it on ebay after recieving offers around $2000 when it was listed on carsales for a coupla months (asking $7k).
Buyer got a very nice car for his money, and I made a sale in a week, which was good as rego has only 7days left.
It was interesting to me that I recieved over 30bids (about 10 different bidders) yet not 1 single person came and had a look at it. Buyer picked it up 7:30pm on a rainy night and paid cash before looking inside or under the hood. He then drove it 400ks+ home. Fortunately for him, he got a great deal on a good car.
