Tachometer help!
i have a digital tachometer and just want a hand on the installation. I could not find the brown wire with the white clip? so what do i splice the signal wire to? if i follow the wiring look till the end of the plug, there is a brown wire on there, can i splice it to that?????? help.. much appreciated.
The brown wire comes from the dfi module. on the v6 which is what I am assuming that you have as you havent specified, you will prob find this in the 14 pin plug that is on the dfi module. the brown wire that comes off that is the signal wire. if you need a pic of the diagram let me know and ill take one and post it up.
ye thats corect v6, so i just splice into that brown wire, how come i didnt find it just hanging off with a white clip or what ever the other ones have next to the strut tower.?
i am pretty sure that the dfi module is actually located under the coil pack. I dont own a v6 so im not to sure on that one about the wires near the strut tower. if you splice into that wire that should give ur tacho the signal it required to display.
wat is the dfi module? ok this might sound stupid or dumb, but there was 3 plugs, 1 grey and 2 black, the grey one had a solid bown wire, is that the signal wire i can splice into?
