Yesterday i arrive home from a week of camping to find out the G/F had some car trouble. The car had a stuck thermostat, which had been changed by a friend of ours an seems to be OK at this point. What i really need help with is in this pic Ive uploaded. What type is it, also where does it lead to. There is also another copper valve that has no hose attached but will upload a pic soon.

Lucky i have pulled these all apart a million times and know where they all go. I will have some photo's uploaded for you in a sec for where to look.
I just checked mine, but it's hard to photograph at night even with a torch shining on it (my pic came out dark). I'll try again for you tomorrow.
On mine there is a rubber hose that attaches at the outlet (that's missing on your pic) - it's maybe 10-15cm long and goes down towards the ground, joining onto somewhere else i can't see very well (see pic).
Sorry but i'm not sure what this hose does.
I'll try and post a clearer pic for you tomorrow unless someone else can.

Crap beat me to the post.
It's a little rubber elbow beside a blue plug (blue depending on how clean it is back there)
Might want to chnage the hose going from the charger to the boost bypass solenoid (black circular thing) to a vacuum hose and not fuel hose. 1/4" will do the job, just stretch it onto the bigger nipple

Sorry for the late reply, been working late. Just wanna say thank you to all, you're reply's fixed the problem and found another. On the other side of that blue plug described by S.T.K.E's, was another rubber elbow. By the looks of it, i say it leads to the back of the boost bypass solenoid. Only problem is, the boost bypass solenoid doesn't have a rubber elbow and there is no hose for it. Been to a wrecker an no luck. Holden parts say they don't sell it on its own, but sell it as a kit for $150. Question is, can i use any type of hose that fits or does it have to be of certain type.
