    Default Throttle body conversion?

    Hey guys.
How hard would it be to adapt a 90 mm throttle body from an LS1
to fit an ecotec? And would it be worth the effort?
    Thanks in advance

all things are possible. the first thing you gotta figure out is throttle linkage setup. fitting the throttle body should be simple enough. if the bolt holes dont line up(which they wont) just make an adapter plate up. bolt the adapter plate to the manifold then the throttle body to the adapter plate. bit of friggin around but it could be done

Not really much point though is there, the entrance to the Plenum chamber would simply be the next restriction.

Hadn't thought of that ... yeah unless I actually modified the plenum chamber entrance as well. That would be a huge pain in the arse.
    Thanks for the input guys.
I might give it a go down the track when I've got some more time.

I say go for it mate, it will be quite a bit of work but stick to it. You will have to get the car tuned to read what the hell the TPS is saying, so you might as well get a LS1 MAF as well and even upgrade the air pipe from the air box to the TB.

I like a challenge, and its because its a bit different. I figure a 90mm throttle body is (depending on what sort you get) is like $250-$350. The biggest ecotec throttle body is
a bored out 70mm one for like $250 anyway. Defs get the tuning done, Mace do 84mm MAF's so I'd probs mate up one of them. Just gotta get some money lined up
