hey i have a problem wit my vt calais. This is the first time this has happened to me. I was driving around early this morning on gas and after i got half way up the road it full on jst cuts out completely so i tried to start it again and was hard finally i got it statin again and then not long after that it completly cut out again. can anyone help me plz be much gratefull

something similar is happening to me...i suspect the fuel pump or fuel pump relay?...ill be changing them sometime this week...maybe someone else can agree or disagree with me

This was happening on mine for a few months in 2007, it was driving me insane! I'd be doing 110 on cruise then all of a sudden it'd stall. After a lot of investigation it turned out to be the negative battery terminal was loose - it was bouncing up & down on the post. Had a new terminal fitted (cost me $10) an it hasn't happened again since. Amazingly this fault didn't stuff anything else up (the battery shop said i was lucky the alternator didn't fail because of it).

Not sure if that's your problem, but it may be worth checking/cleaning your battery terminals...

Check your coolant level. If it is low on coolant your gas converter will ice up and stop the flow of gas to your engine.
