vxss battery help???

hi i have a vx ss heads n cam n stuff... the dash and headlights keep dimming and battery light flickers... anyone got any ideas?? its not the battery...

alternator, most likely brushes

when you are under the bonnet looking at your alternator, have a look at all your earth points, ie battery to body, wiring harness to body etc. they must be clean and shiny bright at the contact surfaces and where cables join the battery posts
