Hi Everyone,
Well it seems that one of my rear power window switches have fallen prey to the light in it going kaput. I have done some search previously and a lot of people say you cant replace the light in it as they dont sell them from any other place besides Holden. I opened up the switch and had a look inside to see what i could do about fixing it (i like to tinker and fix things).
My first question is does, anybody know if the lights in them are an LED or an actual Bulb, because i have pulled it apart, and to be honest, i couldnt tell the difference.
Second question is could i just bridge an LED (providing i have the right voltage \ watts, does anyone know this to?) to the 2 terminals that are in the switch where the standard bulb \ LED is?
Cheers in advance,

just an led,go to jaycar & get a replacement then solder it in. remember led's are only one way, they dont work both ways. a standard bulb(there are exceptions) would be screwed in led soldered, electric switch led's are soldered in.

Do you know what type (i.e. voltage) i would need? i'm more than competant to solder them in, i just need to know the right details for which LED's to get
The source voltage is 12V, so u need a 12V compatible LED but dont 4get u must put a resistor in place 2 bring down that voltage 2 around 3V otherwise u'll cook the LED. So the LED u need 2 find needs roughly a 3V diode forward voltage at around 15-20mA. U can howeva get bezels from jaycar if u want the normal globes back in and replaced, u'll just need 2 re wire the bulb in the rubber holder then slip on the green condom sleeve.
