VX I tail light fit VX II ??

My mate has a VX series I and i want to swap him tail lights.. anyone know if they will fit my VX series II s-pack..?

well put it this way vt lights will fit your car there all the same fit man

yes. any VT/VX light is interchangable.

no luck boys, tried on friday but the plugs that go into the back of the actual tail light are different.

nothing a pair of wire strippers and a soldering iron cant fix.

or you can remove the globes and put them into the new taillight.

so you didnt switch the head light wiring around? cause i fitted monaro lights to my car and my mate also fitted the exact lights to his vt..?

yea mate but it aint the globes.. its the socket they fit into.. have a different stab pattern to the other tail lights.

if worse comes to worse will just strip an re-solder them i spose but if i dont have to i aint gunna so i can keep original wiring.

and i still have my original headlights.. havent tried them yet.. just got a 10 psi pulley, chip and fuel reg. so will be waiting for next pay cheque

$150 form ebay for the lights or $300 for genuine!! i like them better but oh well

Yeah I had the same problem, i wanted my bros vx lights on my vt but my vt lights wouldnt fit on his vx
Though I have a series 1 vt and he has a series 2 vx..

hey all,
you can just get the little tail light loom from the other car u got the lights from the square plug at the other end are all the same vt /vx /monaro and that makes the lights all interchangable with each car..... hope this helps

but will vt s2 lights go into a s1 with no other mods?
