    Hey guys,

ive owned my ute for about 3 years now vu maloo auto i have been having this problem for awhile now thought it was the gearbox till i just got a new one rebuilt works a treat.

what is happing when i change out into 2nd gear nice shift but bogs down staight after and sort of doesnt get better until i back off and will not power though this ?

could this be a turning problem?

Is it the original "tune" in the car?

If it's a modified one - I would be looking for a standard tune to test in the car before I did anything else.

its auto brand new box shifts nice in 2nd but then holds revs. foot can be flat to the floor and revs dont pick up feels as if you have your foot on the brake at same time only releases when you back off accelerator.
id say this is what killed my last gearbox thought it was a gearbox problem but cant be as i only got my new one last night and problem still occurs.
with the over box if i was in 3rd gear and tramp it it would go back to second but this same problem would happen. doesnt seem to do this now but still havent really given gearbox a hammering as its brand new and dont want to stuff it up due to this problem.

What oil you using in it? Auto's can be pretty fussy about it, well any gearbox for that matter

Sorry missed you said it was an auto....

From what I have been told a new and/or rebuilt Auto's take a few hundred kms to settle/bed in/down and then a tune on the car is recommended.

This is to match the engine rpm/power/torque to the shift points on the cars EMS/ECU.

Contact a LSx tuner near you to have a look at the overall tune and they sould be able to tell.

    Good luck.
