i dont know the difference i had a corvette servo and stage 2 shift kit it just gives you much firmer more positive shifts rather than sloppy ones and a bit stronger auto but i think (correct me if im wrong) the harder shifts would shock your driveline and your unis and diff would pay for it..

you can only tune it so far via the ecu before the holes in the plate in the trans are too small and cant up it anymore .they also have extra cooling flow holes to help keep the transmissiion componants cooler and more lubricated as well as redesigh flow paths or certian things great investment it would be my first mod to any dunnidore with auto shiftkit and corvette servo

mmm how much are these stage two kits as i just had a 4l60 rebuilt it is sitting at the workshop.

and is it the valve body you mean by plate and if so in the stage two kit is it just the valve body or do you have to change alot of the servos and actuators cause i had some components changed on my valvebody and dont want to get rid of new parts

its the springs in the valvebody and a couple of valves and extra holes in the plate between VB and the trans and a couple of holes sealed shut as well as a boost valve in the pump and the corvette servo goes under the cover on the outside

I've had my shift kit for about 5 months now, an it is by far the best thing I've done to help my cars performance, I highly recommend a transgo stage 2 kit as it's probably the best kit you can possibly get on the market. I also recommend getting a trans cooler as the transmission works a bit harder and generates a bit more heat depending. I say go for it mate. I bought a new transmission, servo and shift kit. Costed me 800 to get the kit installed with the servo and a service, which included pulling the old one out and putting the new one in.

I had a shiftkit in an old 5litre vn calais I used to have a few years ago. Made it go from slush box to fun box chirps on certain road surfaces and just overall much more fun.

Dunno what it would be like on a newer 4L60E but on the old turbo 700 it kicked ass

Anyone know a place in Sydney that can do this for a decent price. I spoke to a transmission place in penrith, they wanted $680.00 for the stage 2 kit inc part/larbour.

i might consider this too... im in vic aswell and my stock trans is starting to give me the shits... when cruising in 4th on the freeway, put the foot down a bit to overtake and it makes the car shake a bit and it struggles to kick down...
hit two birds with one stone, get the trans serviced and upgrade
what specifically did you ask for mate?
    cheers

Just a stage 2 shiftkit, they custom make their own, so it's not B&M or Transgo, but I can vouch they are bloody good, it kicked so hard yesterday changing into 2nd that a few of my spark leads fell out, I was running on 3 cylinders lol.
