    Default battery draining!!!!! NEED HELP!!!

I bought my VT SS about 2 months ago and seem to be having trouble working out where a HUGE drainage is coming from!!! I just put a new battery in it 2 days ago and it still hasn't fixed the problem! I have removed just about every god damn fuse in the car and cant fond the leakage! My auto elec is even stumped with this 1!! I have a few after market things on the car like alarm up grade, volume controlled excaust but they dont seem to be causing a drain..
has anyone else come across this problem? I'm stumped and so is everyone else I talk to!

Maybe your boot light is staying on. Check it by putting your hand close to it immediately after opening the boot. If it is hot; it's on all the time.

after about 2 hours of pulling every thing out from the smallest fuse to the computer we where still getting the light on saying I had drainage from some point. I have disconnected the alternator whist at work tonight and reconnected it after my shift and it started first go! It's looking like it may be the alternator draining the battery! If I leave the car off for 2 hours the battery is dead! I thought it may have been my head unit doing it so I am going through everything bit by bit to see what the drain is.
If anyone has got a 99 VT SS series 1 this might be something you want to keep an eye out for in case it happens to you!
I will reply when I know 100% what the problem is.

Did you figure it out? I'm starting to have the same issue, haven't gathered enough information to post the problem yet but your problem sounds a lot like mine and it's a 98 VT SS Series 1 which must be the same

Check the battery terminals, next time give the a giggle, mine are looking fine, but when they are hot they expand and dont connect and the car seems dead, but let it cool down and test the battery and its fine.
My battery cables are corroded from the inside and im in the process of replacing them all, and so far its gotten better with each cable.

find a new auto elec mate, the first thing they checked should of been the alternator, i had this problem in my 5.0 vt ss and it was the alternator something was stuck on inside the alternator and yea when the car was off it would drain the batter very quickly

next time u turn the car off pop the bonnet and have a listen and see if u can hear a faint high pitched squeel if u can then yea its the alternator

    cheers
