Engine leaking water, blown head gasket?
Before anyone has a go at me, yes i have done a search on this but im asking a different question although very similar. Im pretty sure i know the answer to this (blown head gasket) just to make sure... So the symptoms started just the other day when my car kept stalling only due to the LPG converter freezing up because there was not enough water in the radiator. So i topped it up which solved that problem and kept a close eye on it. Just today i filled the radiator up again, this time taking 4 litres and within a minute i spot some water leaking from the top-front location on the engine. Blow heady yes?

is there water in the oil?
top front? can you be more specific?
but yeah id do an oil change to see if theres any water in it
Like obviously when you open the bonnet you see the front of the engine where all the belts are, pretty much in middle or just a bit higher theres water coming from some where just slowly dripping out. Yes theres water in the oil also, checked from the dip stickOriginally Posted by Cameron P

F**K.. I was hoping for a waterpump, the leak actually is coming from that area though so you wouldn't suspect a waterpump issue?
well if there is definetely water/coolant in your oil then its a head gasket issue
as for the front where the water coming out, that could be a different issue ie water pump
proby ur inlet manifold gasket they always let go. i would look at that first before getting carried away with head gasket cause they rarely let go

Well to be honest i wasn't too sure i thought the oil seemed a little watery but it was actually fine, just shows how long its been since i've checked my oil :-P
