    Exclamation Removing antenna???

    Hi guys the other day i had a new headunit fitted on my VT. Only problem is the antenna comes up whenever the headunit is on (even if its on a cd or aux).....i wanna know how do i access the antenna? i looked and its inside the front guard so im not sure how to get to the damm thing

    the new headunit has a single wire that triggers the antenna, you could either cut this wire behind the headunit or you could put a switch inline with this wire so you could still control it

    recomend a switch to the antenna wire from your radion or you can find and remove the fuse for it (is easier than hacking at wires etc.)

    but most radios will have a "power antenna" wire at the back so should only go up when radio on (have u wired it right?)
    this is why i like to use "iso" connectors off ebay especially for commodores as when you plug them in there is no cutting and everything works as before...

    i got the headunit done professionally so i dont know how the wiring was done

    oh well was just a thought you know!

    you could check it i guess, if you have the instructions from the new stereo that is.. just check if they attached it to the right wires... but yeah if everything else works might be easier for you to do a switch depending on how the radios is fitted i guess.

    take it back to who fit it and tell them the problem. they should fix it
