ls1 conversion

im lookin at doing a engine conversion from a vu ute eco v6 to a gen 3 v8 out of a vx ss..
.. has many of you guys done this just intrested to see how it went, like how long to complete it, prices, was it worth the #### around ....etc

Cheapest way to do it yourself is buy a total wreck then you will have all the bits needed for the conversion,you wont get halfway through stuck missing something & you can get back some of the cost yu spent buying the car,ute wagon or whatever. You could get it done over a cruisey weekend

ive got a few good price on motor ,box and loom ecu..etc...

is the diff from the v6 the same as an 8... if not would a vx ss sedan diff be the same as the vu ute to use??

Hey guys im thinking about doing this to my 99 vt.

What exactly would you need to do for the conversion.

Im guessing the K frame and cross member and gearbox mounts but what about the ecu and wiring side off things.

Would you need to upgrade to a bigger fuel pump as well ?

What is a good price for a conversion kit ?
