Ok i rang Bosch ( who make all the airbag items ) and they say that the airbag reading is in a range of 1.6 - 2.8 Ohms... so if i can get a capacitor or a resistor im not shore what one i need lol.. but yea maybe some one can help me with this

what Ohms do i need and what type or diode thing do i need to put in the wires to trick the ABS box ,, this is only a fix for it to pass rego then i will remove it once i got it passed to diable the airbags untill i can find the right seats for it..

( as there is no wrecking yard in my area who has some )

Just as Bosch said, you need a resistor of about 2ohms resistance to fool the SRS module.
The wiring harness has shorting pins in the connector, so the resistor will be near impossible to install without cutting the wires, which contravenes about every repair standard to do with SRS systems.

My advice? If you don't have the skill to do this without asking for help, you probably shouldn't be touching the wiring, especially the SRS system. Having seen how powerful the airbags are just this weekend passed (deploying airbags in an old car), I advise not to play around with them. I certainly wouldn't want to be anywhere near them when they deploy (even in a normal crash).

yes i am capable to do this but it was only going to be a temporary fix.. as i finally got a call from a wrecker in nsw that had a car come in with that had Side airbags so i'm getting sent the airbags to fit them to the car yay lol..

but if any one out there has the same problem as me and do try to fix it with a 2ohms resistance let me know how you went would be good to know if it worked...

and thank you moose man for you reply
