Default car struggled to restart after i drove to work, Help!

When i got to work this morning i turned off my car then noticed a park closer to work so i tried to start my car in the usual fashion and it only half turned over. then wouldnt start. so i left the key in the on position for a few seconds and then tried again... it started on the 3rd try after waiting like 10 seconds.
any ideas guys on what could be my problem.

How old's your battery? Could be a bit flogged out if you aren't getting a start after a short drive. If it's only recent, check what the alternator is putting out.

what about the neutral switch ??? as some i have had it happen to me in my vs when to start it and it went to then stoped then i had nothing after a few tries.. so pushed on the stick and then it started again...

or it could have locked up under compression as i have also had that happen to lol and it takes a few attempts for it to start it..

use a multimeter and from the battery check the voltage wen engine isnt running it should b reading around 12.5V. On idle with no accessories on it should b around 14V-14.4V

if ur getting a different reading then try checking/testing from the back of the alternator on the B+ wire and an earth see if u get the same readings from testing from the just the battery.
