A completely stock engine only makes a bit of whine and the exhaust note is a little different. But there is really not much difference in noise, but there is a huge difference in torque, the ecotec puts out around 305 Nm at 3600 whereas the S/C engine puts out 375 Nm at 3000. And all you need to do to have it go off its tits is buy a 10psi pulley for like $240, doesn't need a tune but you'll have to run 98 fuel.

only the noise from the supercharger, not a v8 sound. but for a couple hundred you can get an exhaust kit, but you can do that on your stock v6 if your looking for sound.

the cops will hear what? im pretty sure a supercharger is fine on your p's, but any performance enhancing mods are illegal in victoria.

Well you're gonna have to be more careful around cops for sure, and once they open the bonnet you're f*#$%d.
As for what you'll have go go through to get it set up I really don't know, but if you've got all the electrics I couldn't imagine
    it would be too strenuous.

Well my cars got the RedBack Catback Ehaust 2.5 " and it's fricking loud when i give it some juice.
Was going to my friends house giving it a bit 2 streets away from hers, she happened to be out the front and said "thats was freaking loud" when i turned up.
The only other thing done to the engine is a Growler cold air intake system.

You get an extra 15 kw or so from the pulley upgrade so I don't see why the torque wouldn't go up by 30 or 40 Nm
because thats what the positive displacement superchargers are for.

mine has twin 2.5 exh, extractors, 2.9" pulley, w2a cooler, stage 2 shift kit, corvette servo, 69mm tb, 4" intake and pod, 3.46 lsd and mafless kalmaker tune i think thats it lol and yeah its loud but goes pretty hard man. I have beating a few ls1's and a few 5ltrs and a xr6t. Hopefully that helps with your decision.
