Question Prolly been asked before but, brakes + springs... for VT S-Pack

    Hello everyone,

Just wondering if getting King Springs for my VT S-Pack will make the ride stiffer than the FE2 that are in there atm?

And what would people recommend for front and rear brake disks + Pads IE. something for doing hills runs etc.

    Thanx everyone!

springs will be alot stiffer. i would know, i went from Fe2 to King spring SL all round, it gets fair bumpy. although i havnt changed my shocks over yet.

Pads, personal choice really. i like Bendix ultimate. some think it makes too much brake dust tho

and get front slotted. rears not so important.

One last thing, they say it will lower it about 50-60mm, what about when driving thru hills etc and full lock hard turns will the front tyres scrape?

    Im running 235.45.18s

iv had 235/40/18"s on for about 2 years and never rubbed on king springs SL all round. Dunno about the 45 profile but mine was no where near it. So it should be fine

If you are handy with spanners I can do up a price for the springs and brakes if you like. I do King Springs and RDA slotted rotors. I get the rotors specially made in a unique slotted and dimpled pattern. I use these rotors on our Senator and RDX hi performance pads.

What are the benefits of the dimples along with the slots? Any chance of posting a picture? I have the slotted rotors on my car front and back fitted under 2nd hand warrenty, they are ARGENT brand do you know anything abou these? They seem to be OK and have not got any shudder so far. The brake pads are GMH.

dimples help with cooling but are less likely to crack as aposed to drilled rotors which are proned to cracking.

What he said ^^^, even though the dimples are small, they create more surface area of the disc that is exposed to air so they cool a bit better.

Here they are fitted to our Senator:

They are also the same as these, scroll down to the VE brake kit: Press Releases

Thanks I will keep them in mind should I need to replace mine. Do the curved slots have any advantage over the straight ones?
