i mean the black fuse of the 02 sensor which is on the passenger side and on it there is a green rubber that's protects it from dirt. the fuse is exactly same as the maf sensor one.

    Eh?

    I'm lost sorry, what fues?
I know that the electrical connectors have a colour rubber seal. Is that what you mean?

You probably wont get an engine light untill the engine warms up, I drove my car around for a couple of days without o2 sensors. It still run alright, just used ALOT of fuel.

Ahk yeah, All you've done is disconnected the O2 sensors from the loom.
Let the car warm up and it will most probably flash an engine light.

i may not turn the check engine light on but then again it might as my VP's did wen that failed. i just had a problem with my EGR sensor and it didnt show the check engine light but still showed a fault, so It should still log the fault wen u drive the car.

just cause the light comes on doesnt mean the sensor is any good just means its not totally dead yet they will read way out well before they throw codes they last about 75000km if the cars over 100000km they will be tired

i noticed you said sensors, sure they arnt referring to the o2 sensors on the exhaust? as $280 plus 120 for labor is too much for just the one on the airbox

LOL $400 for o2 sensors. As drift-it said, about $60 each and changed in about 30 min.

I've found these cars to be really reliable as long as you service them properly, change all the fluids when needed and dont thrash the crap out of them. I had a VN for nearly 10 years and apart from replacing the shocks, exhaust for most of that time all it needed was servicing. It only broke down twice and that was a crank angle sensor and then the fuel pump which is pretty normal. The only other things that failed were the harmonic balancer but that went in the driveway and the alternator and water pump bearings.

I was going to say the same thing.
If you can disconnect the plug on the O2 sensor then you can change the sensor yourself, it's just like removing a spark plug. The price you were quoted for the sensors is also a little steep.
