Hey Mate, There should be 3 nuts that you need to remove inside the boot, then the tail light will just basically fall out.

    hey?

the opposite end of the tail light to those screws is 2 pin like clips, just sorta push the light sideways from the car is you know what i mean.

it will fall out if it has been broken before most likely.
There are some ball lock things that you need to force the tail light out of. Once you have removed those screws, you force the tail light to the side of the car, so to the left for the back left and to the right for the back right. You will see what i mean when you get it out.
So linearly left or right, the tail light should be strong enough not to break during this process.

I Thought to remove the rear tail light, open the boot, pull back the carpet and remove 3 nuts, then the tail light pulls out, what i do for both the VX and VR, did holden make some other design in the VT? Or im just missing something completey here lol

I dont Always used to, and it bugged the shit outta me. So I just drilled a few drain holes on the bottom edge of the boot and this lets the water thats leaked in just drain out and down the rear bumper
