Yes if its a flat battery would need to replace the keyhead, Mister mint do them for $99 for just the head.
If you have another working key, you just just pop the solder points then replace the battery, but you have to be very quick, like less then 10 seconds to swap it over. i did this after i got a new keyhead, had to use a bit of paper against the pins to push on the battery, then glued back together. works fine just a backup key now

anywhere from $75-$100 here for a completely new key inc. cut blade

it's pointless soldering the battery if it loses all the programming

my old key had worn buttons and the shell was in bad shape

i was able to get a new case and to reshell it and save the key

i just got a key cut with head for $100 at a key shop in a plaza.. i also asked them how much just to recode a head and they quoted me $80 just for the coding.. so i just done it all with them.. it worked out to be more money buying a key head of ebay and getting them to code it

Stupid i say but oh well i guess that life... nothing is easy haha

yeah don't bother with ebay blank heads

by the time it's sent and you get the blade cut it's about the same cost to do it all in one shot from the one guy!

good quality locksmith will supply and code new remote head for around $100 and you then have about 5 years with no worries
