Hi all,

A few days ago I was driving in the morning, and was attempting to demist the windscreen using the air conditioner, on heat mode (cold morning). It wasn't working properly as I drove, in fact making it worse I think, and then when I got onto the freeway, and accelerated heavily, a burst of gas came out of the vents for a few seconds, and then stopped. At this point I turned off the A/C (while frantically trying to clear my windscreen to avoid a high speed accident) and havent turned it back on since. I don't really want to have to pay for a repair, and can't really afford it either.
Does anyone know what may have happened? And how can I fix this problem?
It is especially annoying because summer is just around the corner.
